Apparel Zipper Length Calculation
If the garments body length measure from HPS
Formula: Body length - (Front neck drop + Back neck drop) - (2 to 3%)
If the garments body length measure from CB
Formula: (Body length - Front neck drop) - (2 to 3%)
If the garments have high neck and zipper goes up to high neck drop from bottom.
Formula: (Body length - Front neck drop) - (2 to 3%) + Height of high neck
The CF zipper length can be determined based on the back length of the garment. If the garment features a backdrop tail and the zipper extends from the bottom to the high neck, the guidelines will be as follows:
Formula: (Back length + Back neck drop from HPS) – Front neck drop from HPS + Front collar height – Hem drop from CF to CB if exist – 2% to reduce sewing puckering.
